Amazon nixes Comixology iTunes and Google Play in-app purchases

Striking a balance

As if to compensate, the app update also gives a $ five ( around £3, AU$ five.40) credit for all current customers.

In a statement Comixology's VP of Communications and Marketing Chip Mosher told Engadget: "As we move to complete the acquisition with Amazon, we are shifting to the net - based purchasing model they've effectively utilized with the Kindle, which we count on will let us to strike the best balance among costs, choice and client practical experience."

Mosher pointed out that iOS customers can easily add the internet store to their device's homescreen, although claimed getting through the web-site would offer extra benefits such as access to web -only bundles.
